Anna recently graduated from the University of Chicago with a double bachelor’s in Psychology and Creative Writing. She is also a 2016 California State Summer School of the Arts graduate. Her work in writing and editing spans many forms: editing Californian high school students’ argument essays as an English TA, creating informational blog articles for college applicants, discussing prose and poetry submissions for a literary journal, and even writing short stories of her own. She has a passion for student guidance and teaching as well—in her time at UChicago, she poured her efforts into serving as an Orientation Leader for incoming first-year students, as well as teaching choreography to dancers of all levels in the neXus Dance Collective, of which she is a founding member.
As a former ILUMIN student herself, Anna knows firsthand that ILUMIN challenges and brings out the best in young students. In fact, her vested interest in the success of her students and peers found its roots in ILUMIN’s support—a passion that now drives her to support other ILUMIN students as they grow in their personal and academic journeys.
