Nora began her career as a writing tutor at the University of Missouri Writing Center, where she worked one-on-one with college students on writing and research. It was there that she discovered how much she enjoyed helping students untangle their ideas, find their voice and gain confidence in their abilities.

Today, Nora specializes in college application essays, Spanish, SAT/ACT preparation and academic writing. She has spent more than a decade working with students as a teacher and tutor. Whether she is helping a student become a more confident Spanish speaker, develop an effective approach to standardized tests, or organize a complex academic paper, Nora tailors her instruction to the student’s individual needs and learning style.

Across every subject, Nora helps students recognize their strengths, work through challenges and develop strategies they can use independently. She loves the moment when something begins to click and a student realizes they understand more, have more to say or are capable of more than they initially believed.

Nora holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Spanish, as well as a master’s degree in Secondary Education. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, learning languages and spending time outdoors with her dog, Magnifico.
