Meet Our Partners
Polygence
Polygence is a Stanford- and MIT-founded online research academy that pairs intellectually curious students with expert mentors to pursue personalized research projects. Under the guidance of their mentors, Polygence students engage in academic fields across the STEM, the social sciences, and the humanities to produce showcase-able final projects. Throughout the entire mentorship process, Polygencers learn to take their potential college majors on a test drive. ILUMIN students have benefited from the opportunity to work with mentors, create a personalized research project, and submit their findings to publications and competitions.
SWOON LEARNING
Ilumin Education has partnered with Swoon Learning, who offers a transformative Academic Coaching program. With a focus on long-term solutions, the program matches students with expert Academic Coaches, emphasizing positive feedback, achievable goals, and independence. This tailored approach addresses various student needs, adapting to student-athletes' schedules seamlessly. Using accessible technology and relatable practices, the program cultivates executive functions, empowers students with real-life skills, integrates school curriculum and targets improvements based on progress, and ensures every student's success is a personal journey of growth and achievement.
Girls who Code
Girls Who Code is an international non-profit working to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. ILUMIN partners with Girls Who Code to encourage girls and non-binary students to get a strong introduction into computer science and coding via the Summer Immersion Program run by GWC.
Junior Achievement USA
Junior Achievement is a global non-profit youth organization that seeks to empower, inspire, and prepare young people to succeed. ILUMIN Education sponsors a JA Company Program team to help students learn the fundamentals of being an entrepreneur and starting their own business. The JA Company Program has been able to help guide our students through the entrepreneurship process as well as provide them with mentors from companies like Microsoft, Deloitte, and Apple.
Internworks
Internworks seeks to create internship opportunities for students that allow them to explore careers that they are interested in and to give them the tools they need to excel in these internships as well as in their future education and workplace experiences. ILUMIN partners with Internworks to provide our students with hands-on experience in relevant career paths to the student’s interests and majors.
Achieveable
ILUMIN partners with Achievable to provide ACT tutoring that fits our students' mobile lives and busy schedules. Achievable uses adaptive learning techniques to create and update a personalized model of your memory, individually tracking your retention and mastery of each ACT learning objective. International Research Institute of North Carolina
ILUMIN partners with IRI (International Research Institute of North Carolina), the leading provider of remote, STEM research opportunities for students from 9th grade to early college. With the program, students have the ability to conduct research remotely, regardless of their location or access to laboratories. Students work with US university faculty to develop a research question and conduct research in a field that interests you. Students gain hands-on experience, build a professional network, and, for some programs, have the chance to author a publication in a peer-reviewed, scientific journal. New for 2024 are programs focusing on those interested in careers in the health sciences like medicine, nursing, and dentistry. Ladder Internships
The Ladder Internships program equips students with internship experiences at startups! Students work directly with the entrepreneurs and founders of the startup on a real-world project over 8 weeks. Students can pursue an internship in the field of their choice- ranging from STEM-related projects with startups utilizing their computer science, AI, Machine Learning, programming interests and skills, to projects in general business, marketing, data, finance, healthcare & medicine, sustainability and more. Students create and deliver a presentation on their work at the end of the program, and can receive a personalized letter of recommendation from their mentor based off of their performance through the internship.
Students can apply to the program year-round, and do this internship alongside classwork and extracurricular activities. This is a virtual program and students can participate from anywhere in the world- you do not need to relocate for the internship!
VENTURE CAMP
Venture Camp is where ambitious high school students gain real-world skills and launch their own real businesses and ventures! Students work closely with dedicated instructors who will guide them through the process of launching their own business or making an impact on an existing one. In addition to each student's dedicated guide, they will learn from and connect with a world-class mentor network of experienced founders and industry experts.
