Dr. Joseph is a senior admissions counselor and educator who builds long-term relationships with his students and their parents, allowing him to customize a solid but flexible strategy to help them reach their goals. Dr. Joseph is adept at locating potential weaknesses in his student’s future college applications and creating and carrying out a plan to eliminate them, ensuring that his student’s applications are highly competitive. He is a comprehensive counselor. Whether it’s creating a customized school list, suggesting impactful extracurricular activities or reviewing college application essays, Dr. Joseph is there for his clients throughout the entire college application process. As a result, his students have gone on to study at top-tier universities such as Stanford, Vanderbilt, Cornell, UCLA and Cambridge, to name a few.
Over the course of his career and 20+ years in higher education, Dr. Joseph has worked with thousands of students at all levels across the US and China. Due to his extensive experience as a teacher, researcher and advisor in China, he is fully prepared to help students and their parents overcome the unique challenges that they encounter when applying to study overseas. Dr. Joseph earned his PhD in socio-cultural anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh where his ethnographic dissertation earned him the prestigious Fulbright Award.
