Dr. Joseph L. Cichosz

Instructional Specialist

Dr. Joseph L. Cichosz is a passionate educator who carefully tailors his classes based on his student’s specific needs and personal characteristics. He earned his PhD in socio-cultural anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh and earned the prestigious Fulbright Award to teach in China. Over the course of his career and 15+ years as a tutor, he has taught thousands of students at all levels across the U.S. and China.

Joseph specializes in helping his students master the AP US History Exam. His engaging teaching style and his ongoing experience as a College Board AP exam grader have resulted in the majority of his students scoring a 5 on these challenging exams. Due to his extensive cross-cultural teaching experience in China, Joseph is also perfectly placed to help immigrant students navigate the American education system, including improving classroom performance, public speaking and presentation techniques, and test-taking and interview strategies.
