ILUMIN STUDENTS START FREE TUTORING PROGRAM TO HELP FAMILIES IN NEED DURING THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK

It’s a distressing time in the world today but it’s also encouraging to see people find ways to support each other in their own unique ways.
Three of our ILUMIN students decided to do something to address the needs they saw in their communities and started an amazing organization called Quarantutors!
In their own words:
“We understand that due to school closures, many students may not have access to the teachers, peers, or tutors they need to succeed with homework that is still being assigned online or in various other capacities. Our high school student tutors from all over the Bay Area provide free one-on-one tutoring through Zoom, an online video conference platform, in K-12 academic subjects that include English, math, science, and history. We offer completely free online tutoring by high school students for K-12 students who have been negatively impacted by school closures caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.”
