For the past 30+ years, Sondra has been immersed in the fields of teaching, writing, and editing. After working as a technical writer, marketing writer, editor, and published author in high-tech for many years, she became a dedicated tutor for high school and middle school students over 20 years ago and has been guiding and mentoring students around the Bay Area and across the U.S. ever since.

Her teaching expertise includes SAT/ACT/PSAT prep, AP Literature, AP Language and Composition, private school entrance exams (HSPT/ISEE), essay writing of all kinds (middle school/high school, grad school, summer programs, scholarships), critical reading skills, and public speaking.

Her students have consistently achieved superior results on the PSAT and SAT, many becoming National Merit Scholarship winners.
